Liu Yuxi International Symposium was held in Changde

Hunan Daily • New Hunan client on October 27 (Reporter Li Jie correspondent Shao Qihu) On October 26, Liu Yuxi International Academic Seminar and China Liu Yuxi Research Association 2019 Annual Meeting was held in Hunan College of Arts and Sciences。Experts and scholars from dozens of domestic universities and Japan, South Korea, Kazakhstan and other countries gathered in Changde to jointly discuss Liu Yuxi's political achievements and literary achievements。

Liu Yuxi, the "great poet" of the Tang Dynasty, spent 10 years banished in Changde. Among his more than 800 poems and more than 240 prose Fu, more than 200 were written in Changde, which is a valuable cultural heritage he left for Changde。In recent years, Changde has greatly strengthened the research and inheritance of Liu Yuxi, and has built a number of commemorative buildings related to Liu Yuxi, such as Changde Poetry Wall Pai Yun Pavilion, Liuye Lake Sima Building, Baima Lake Cultural Park。The Liu Yuxi Research Association in Changde City has also published academic monographs such as Liu Yuxi's Exile to Wuling, Research on Liu Yuxi's Poems in Langzhou and a large number of high-quality academic papers。

The event was co-organized by China Liu Yuxi Research Association and Hunan University of Arts and Sciences, and co-organized by Changde Liu Yuxi Research Association, Guangzhou University School of Humanities and the Sun Shaowen and His Wife, Hong Kong Baptist University Institute of Humanities and China。More than 80 experts and scholars attended the seminar, and nearly 70 papers were received。During the four-day seminar, eight domestic and foreign experts will give academic reports, and the delegates will also have in-depth exchanges and discussions on the latest achievements in Liu's research field。

It is reported that during the seminar, in addition to academic discussions on Liu Yuxi's political achievements and literary achievements, it will also study how to combine Liu Yuxi's culture with the tourism market, and make Liu Yuxi's culture better serve the development of Changde's cultural tourism industry by exploring the characteristic development path of "culture + tourism + industry"。
